In the heart of Mozambique, in the state of Zambezia, there are places where the world seems to have stopped. In the communities of Morrumbala and Chiringoma, children and adolescents live on the fringes of almost everything—lacking basic nutrition, leisure, and a glimpse of a better future. It is in this challenging scenario that the Africa’s Kids Project, supported by Sports To Hope, stands as a beacon of light.
A Mission in the Face of Extreme Scarcity Every week, we reach over 200 children who are often “forgotten” by society. Our local leaders report that the reality is a constant challenge. Due to the extreme lack of infrastructure and precarious conditions, traditional educational programs are not yet possible. However, where others see impossibility, we see a mandate to act.
Our intervention is built on three vital pillars:

Nutrition: Providing essential meals to children who face daily hunger.

Evangelization and Faith: Teaching the Bible, singing, and the importance of prayer to build spiritual resilience.

Sports and Community: Using play and exercise to foster coexistence, cooperation, and a sense of belonging.
Rooted in the Community We do not work alone. With the support of two local churches, we have created a network of safety and dignity. But our vision for Mozambique is holistic. We understand that to save the children, we must also strengthen their families.
Therefore, we have expanded our reach to include adults and youth through:

Seed Distribution: Encouraging local agriculture.

Food Security: Providing emergency food supplies.

Income Generation: Starting projects that empower the community to build their own sustainability.
A Call to Remember the Forgotten The leader of the project in Mozambique recently shared: “I thank God and Sports To Hope for remembering us and the children who live almost forgotten in Zambezia”.
